October last weekend it is ...

A Trip to Bangalore..

I was in Bangalore from 6th Mar to 11th Mar... that was an awesome trip !!
I planned the trip all of a sudden and everything happened in an hour !! Was just thinking what I shud do in the holi holidays.. and all of a sudden .. bangalore came to my mind and I asked Guggi and DP whether its right time to visit them. and they said YES .. thats it.. booked tickets in an hour and there I goooo !!!
The flight was supposed to leave at 9:25 pm and I left the office at 6 pm and was getting ready.. then I heard a sound "tweet .. tweet ..!! tweet.. tweet ..!! SMS ..!!" thats my mobile.. and guess what.. there was a SMS saying that flight is delayed by an hour.. I thought thats good.. I can have something and leave for the airport.. 30 minutes past.. again talked the tweety..!! This time it says.. flight rescheduled to 11:50 .. WTF ??? anyways.. I reached airport at 10:35 pm.. and then I came to know that the actual time is 12:30 am pheww... !! at last, flight departured at 1:00 am. I reached bangalore at 2:40 and the airport was 38 kms from the place where Guggi stays. My friends managed to find out the bus number which shuttles between Forum and Airport. so.. waited for that bus for 30 mins... and finally reached home at 4:00 am.. now thats called a journey .. ;)
Seeing my friends after almost 2 yrs.. so we passed time talking abt the things we have done in this two yrs.. abt the jobs.. abt the current market situation.. and so on.. and its already 7:00 am.. then we went for a cup of coffee...

Day 1 : My friends actually skipped office that day cleverly.. one said he was sick, one said he would be working from home.. and the other said his parents came to see him :D :D I really liked that ;). We had lunch in a good south Indian restaurant (Meghana) that serves proper south Indian thali.. that was awesome .. bcoz I didnt pay the bill ;) !! Then we went to Corner House and had some desserts.. :D
In the night Guggi, DP, Rajesh, Sridhar (yeah he is alive ..!!) and me went to Leela palace and enjoyed bowling there.. with a glass of beer ;) DP crossed the century mark (some 128 I guess) while we were busy concentrating on something else :P .. that was a good experience too .. !!

Day 2 : Went for GoKarting in RT nagar .. and this time Dev and Ritul joined us.. that was really great ..!! enjoyed racing there and DEV was the show stopper.. he bumped into the side blocks for five times already.. and when he bumped for the sixth time, he was disqualified from the race. Ritul managed to reach the spot after an hour.. but he didn't join us in the race.. (phat gayi uski .. :P). So he bacame cameraman and caught Dev doing this stunt.. coool..!!

Then we went to Brigade Rd .. one of the happening places in Bangalore.. and it was worth going there .. ;) good fest for the eyes.. ;) DP ni aapatam maa valla kaaledhu inka.. and we played bowling there ..
Last two days I did some shopping, explored other south Indian restaurants, played some games, watched some movies, enjoyed Sehwag's blasting .. and met some friends.. and returned to Mumbai on 11th evening. Overall that was a great trip and we enjoyed a lot.. Credit goes to Guggi, DP and Raji. ;)

Poker Fever ..!!

Back in August 2008.. Its 10 pm in the night .. and I haven't yet decided which movie I should watch... then came the Guru Nitin muddana with his Mac Laptop and said "bava.. neeko manchi movie choopisthaa ..!! ". I was excited to know what that movie was.. and kept my lappy aside and joined him. But to my dissapointment, it was Casino Royale movie !! I said no wayyy.. Im not gonna watch this boring movie... bcoz I don't know how Poker is played which is the main entertainment in the movie. Then Nitin gave me some gyaan. He opened the Texas holdem Poker rules page and explained me the game.. and then I watched the movie.. This time I liked the movie very much.. From then I started playing Poker.. Added the application in facebook too and started playing it online daily.. for atleast one hour.. Its such an addictive game that I used to skip some important things bcoz of this game. Finally I had to remove that application from my profile.

Next week I went to Puchu's room where our enthued Junta stay.. It was saturday night. Unfortunately Nitin muddana also came along with me. Any guesses what happened next ? yess.. Guru started "bava meeko keka game nerpisthaa ... Poker ..!!! ".. then came our Giri saying "naaku thelsu raa !! theen patta lekka untadhi adhey kadhaa.... !! ". Finally nitin convinced them that its not the game they are thinking and taught them how to play poker... guys started playing poker that saturday night.. 2 hours happy.. then started struggle... Raj kumar ( The Mancherial James Bond) entered the game.. and looted all our money... we all bought in again.. and played second round. Now, its Raghu Rajan's turn to become the Bond. Likewise , the game continued till 7 am and the result is.. we slept till 4 pm on sunday :D :D. Right from that weekend, we are playing poker without fail. In the mean while our Sridhar Bhosale came up with a new concept called encouraging the opponent (rechchagottadam).. If anyone wins.. he says" mama.. nenu vaanni baaga rechchagotti raise cheyinchina.. naaku commission kaavale.. " And Sirish.. invented new techniques to steal chips from the table and other persons bank..

The twist in the tale is.. One fine morning, on the way to the office, my roomies (nitin muddana and Sandeep Gummadi) saw an ad in Mumbai Mirror about the sale of Poker chips for just Rs.2000/- and that excited our Guruji Nitin and he borrowed a one rupee coin from the auto waala and called me up and asked me to order those chips. I ordered those chips on the same day.. and finally we got our poker chips after a week.. They are nicely packed in an aluminium case (reku dabba).. and it was looking so Royal.. there were no limits for our excitement.. inka asalu aagale.. yentane.. photolu digi facebook la upload jeshnam.. Sandy, who was not paying any attention to the game till then, also learnt the game and started playing it. The next week we went to the guys room with this chips case in hand.. and guys were also excited to see them.. Our Giri came saying "arey.. baaga feel vasthundhi raa !! ". We started playing that night too.. but with new excitement.. and Raghu rajan became bond twice.. and the story continues....................

A Trip to GOA ..!!

At last we have decided to visit GOA, the city with beautiful beaches and scenaries. We have decided April 4th as the correct time to visit that place.. but afterwards we came to know that it was a wrong decision.. :( Feb is the correct time to visit Goa..

Finally a batch of 17 enthued guys left for Goa on april 4th that includes 8 guys from mumbai, 2 from hyd and the rest from banglore. first day .. we got down at Margao Rly station and headed to Colvo beach area. We spent the whole day there. Colvo beach is a calm place with decent number of visitors. We played cricket in the beach, swimming, sun bath etc etc. and took dinner in the beach .. in the moon light :D.

Next day we went to panaji. There we have spent a day in Miramar beach.. It extends to a very long distance.. of course with less number of visitors... we could not enjoy much on that day in the beach.. we went for some shopping and bought some beach wares (poola chokkalu). In the night we went for a cruise party. Its paradise cruise.. we had a great time in that cruise. There were songs, dances by the crew and .... there was disco theque in the first floor of the cruise.we hav really enjoyed that trip.

We have dedicated the next day for visiting all places near panaji. We hav visited an ancient church with 300 yrs history, a museum, a fort where Dil Chahta Hai shooting took place and at last a beautiful boat ride in the Arabian Sea. This boat ride is little expensive .. but it was more than our expectations. We had seen dolphins in the Arabian sea, Central jail of Goa, a beautiful mansion of a diamond merchant which is just beside the sea, Kingfisher cruise etc etc... after that ride.. we had a heavy lunch in a GOAn Restaurant. The course includes all types of sea foods like fishes, Prawns etc. From there we headed to calangute Beach. I think its the most beautiful beach and flooded with tourists. There are different kinds of boat rides there. like speed boat, banana ride, motor boat, water bike, parachute boating( its really amazing and expensive too :P). Some of us played there cricket and mumbaikars defeated the Bangalore team by a huge total.

Then some enthued guys had tattoos painted on their arms and chest. Then we went for banana ride. its nothing but a rubber balloon (banana) tied to a speed boat. We are made to sit on that banana and hold it firmly. We appeared like perfect sailors with life jackets on .. like army men going to a war with bullet proofs and weapons in hand.. that driver took us to the middle of the sea and our banana tumbled. My heart skipped a beat. We all are dropped in the middle of the sea.But no need to panic. It was their trick actually. we are somewhere 500 metres away from shore but still floating(.. life jackets). that was an amazing experience. then we tried very hard to get back on to the banana. then he took us to the shore. After a small photo session in the beach we returned to the hotel.

BITS-Goa Auditorium.

Last day.. we have planned to visit BITS-Goa. we met our juniors there. We had a great time with them . The auditorium at BITS-Goa is worth seeing. Every IMAX, INOX and multiplex theatre in India wud be nothing before it... it has a capacity of 3000 odd with good lighting and acoustics. Even it was on holiday, president of the students union for Goa campus had the auditorium opened just for us... coool naa..!!! in the evening.. the journey came to an end and we headed to Margao station to catch the Matsyagandha express...
